Earn Money Selling Your Handmade Goods

Maybe everyone on the web has already heard of Etsy, but just in case you're one of the few not sharing your homemade blankets, aprons, handbags (or other handmade items) on this online marketplace, you could be missing a real work from home opportunity. Even if just a few extra dollars a month, what mom couldn't use that?

Etsy allows you an online outlet for marketing and selling anything you've made with your own two hands. I love shopping Etsy as it gives me the opportunity to find one of a kind gifts, or at the very least a gift that is not likely to be duplicated. Everyone loves homemade afgans, baby blankets and clothing, aprons, handbags, jewelry, sweaters, scarves and things like notecards and other forms of stationary.

If you spend your time sewing, stamping, knitting... or making any type of marketable product, look into Etsy. All you do is post your photos and prices, then ship the products when they sell. Buyers pay you directly, Etsy charges a small fee, reasonable when you consider you're getting the value of having an online store, including a shopping cart.

You can also sell crafting supplies and anything considered vintage. Check it out today!

Balancing Motherhood and a Life Without Going Bald

This has been one of those weeks where I wonder what on earth I was thinking. My anxiety level is in check, but my list of things to do has never been this long... not even as I approached my wedding day.

Between homeschooling (which don't let anyone tell you isn't a job), directing a women's event this weekend, and packing for a 2 week trip that starts with my entire family at the airport at 5 AM in just 4 short days, I don't really know what to say except for... sigh.

I haven't packed anything other than my bathing suit. My kids haven't had a bath today and here it is 1:00 in the afternoon. They're reading books while I try to get through my list of boxes checked on my women's event checklist so we can practice their handwriting and then get to their language arts lessons. Then tonight I have to go stuff goodie bags at my church... not complaining! Really I'm not. I just don't know how it's all going to get done. Ya know? Somehow it always does though and that's what I think amazes me most of all.

On the upside of today... I have had my shower! Thank God! I have given my children a healthy breakfast and lunch and their dad is taking them out for dinner tonight... thank ya daddy! I get to socialize with other adult women tonight! Thanks again God! In just a few days we'll be in sunny Florida! Or at least it will be sunnier there than it is here in the midwest!

Ok, I have way too much to do to sit here and tell you all the things I have to do. So seeya!
